Job description

Candidate must have a minimum of Five (5) years of experience as Telecom Management / Estimator or relevant Estimating / Project Management experience with proven performance history.

This position includes responsibilities to create and/or develop low voltage structured cabling quotations, documentation of IT, Datacom, Audio Visual, Security, low voltage and physical layer infrastructure as well as managing projects of similar magnitude.

In order to fulfill job requirements candidate must have detailed knowledge and practical understanding of low voltage and structured cabling infrastructure design, reading and interpretation of elevation drawings and data center design drawings, a strong knowledge of fiber and copper management systems, i.e. Ladder Rack & Fiber Trays, strong understanding of Security Cage build-outs, Data Center Cabinet and Rack installations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create and complete estimates and formal quotations for data and telecommunications, low voltage solutions for our current and future customer base
  • Provide expert knowledge, of IT and low voltage data and telecommunications systems for major projects
  • Develop timely and competitive estimates, correlating to Scope of Work proposals for our clients.
  • Perform site visits for documentation and cost estimating of the existing systems and building conditions
  • Detail Scope of Work and Methods of Procedure based on design layouts and drawings provided by clients
  • Perform telecommunications, IT and low voltage systems analysis and develop appropriate system concepts and layouts
  • Layout and design telecommunications systems, as well as, voice, data, security, structured cabling
    (horizontal and vertical) and other low voltage systems
  • Manage current data and telecommunications projects, including creation of as-built documentation, providing test results to the client, and closing the projects with a post-mortem review
  • Ensure & maintain quality control performance adhering to standards established by the Client
  • Perform walkthroughs on job sites to gain understanding of environment and implementation standards when required
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Major Manufacturer’s Systems, i.e. Crestron, Corning, Belden, CommScope, Legrand, and others is an unequivocal must

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000 - $100,000
